La Ribera House-Museum

La Ribera House-Museum affords visitors a glimpse into the lives and customs of the people of the early 20th century. A group of actors play inhabitants who lived in the house in past times, in an interactive performance that allows tourists to live situations that, although unthinkable in this day and age, were actually quite normal in Peñafiel a century ago.

The characters that live in the house are called Mariano and Tomasa. Mariano shows tourists the canteen, the stables, the courtyard, the press and the two wine cellars, whilst his wife, Tomasa, shows ‘visitors’ the rooms, the kitchen, the oven and the bedchambers, distributed on three floors of this 16th century house.

Dramatized visits all year round at the following times:

Saturdays and Sundays: midday, 1pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7:30pm.
Each performance is for a maximum of 25 people and booking ahead is recommended via the tourist office telephone: 983 88 15 26.

From Mondays to Fridays the tour is also available to groups: check at the Tourist Office: 983 88 15 26.

Singles: 5€ and FREE children under 12 years.
